Goodbye January,

You were a hoot. There were many changes and they were all welcomed. I got a grown up job which made my years at Utah State worth it.
Jordan and I did some fun things. We grew closer, laughed along the way and learned more and more about each other. Oh how I love him.
I also was a sucker and did the monthly challenge on instagram. I loved it so much that I'm doing it again this month. What can I say? I'm obsessed. Here is a glimpse into my January.

Life is changing.

My schedule just opened up a whole lot. I used to not have so much free time. It will be nice to get it back. It will be nice to not have to worry about going to both jobs in one day or stressing about not spending enough time with Jordan or working on the weekends. I love the feeling of being able to schedule things in advance and not worry if I have to work or not.
I got the call I had been waiting for since the summer after I graduated from Utah State. I got the call saying, "We would like to offer you a job as a speech technician...", it seemed like a dream. I had to immediately put my two weeks in to my other jobs. And although I will miss the people I worked with, this was a chance of a lifetime. I couldn't pass it up.
Today was my first day. There was a lot to take in today and it was like I hit the ground running, but I seriously cannot tell you how excited I am about this.
I'm a career girl now.

We Love the Lights

Temple square is so magical this time of year. The lights are spectacular, the crowds are fun to watch and the weather was perfect, a nice 54 degrees. We only saw one proposal, kind of disappointed, but it was cute nonetheless. We almost staged a fake proposal with Jordan and I in the middle of the big crowd by the reflection pool. It would have been great but I didn't want to steal the moment from someone who might have been planning it for reals.
So all in all, the lights didn't disappoint. It was spectacular.

California Bound

Jordan's brother Josh and his awesome awesome wife Andree are on their way to live in Los Angeles for a year. How lucky are they? Last night we said our goodbyes and wished them a safe journey. We are so excited for them but will miss them do much. Jordan has the sweetest relationship with his brother. I know I always give my sweet husband a hard time, but I just think its so funny that he calls him EVERYTIME he says a funny joke, because nothing is really funny until Josh laughs. It makes me laugh to see how excited Jordan gets when Josh thinks something he did, said or saw was funny. They are such good brothers. I love both Josh and Andree so much. I am lucky to have them in my life. Andree is so great. She inspires me to be crafty. She is so cute and so talented and has a knack for making things look good. She is also someone who has great advice and truly cares.
We are going to miss them so much, and we can't wait until we save enough change to go visit them.

After being married for almost 7 months we are finally decorating our apartment (well minus photos in the frames) but we are getting couches (thank you Josh and Andree), we now have Internet and seriously I can blog again, but really the best news is that my sweet sister, here's your shout out, showed me the blogger app for my iPhone. Couldn't be happier. I have been trying to figure out how in the heck all of you get your instagram photos on your blogs. It had been driving me nuts and I didn't ask anyone because I didn't want to look like a rookie and I've already asked a bazillion questions, so thanks Chan. You rock.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for having sweet little babies for us to snuggle, kiss and hold. We have been so lucky to have so many friends who have recently had babies. There is something so special about those little babies. Each one is so different, I love all of their personalities. I am grateful for those sweet spirits and for our friends, who are such wonderful parents. Thank you for letting us be babysitters instead of parents ourselves, which we are very excited to be in the future, we love the examples you set.

Last night Jordan and I decided that all we wanted to do was stay at home and be with each other. Being with each other has been a very rare occurrence lately, so it was nice to have him all to myself for a whole evening. I cooked dinner, we ran to get Jordan's favorite treat (while we were waiting for before mentioned dinner was still cooking), picked out a movie and snuggled. It was so relaxing and just what we needed. I love spending time talking and laughing with Jordan. Best moments of my life. He is one great guy and makes me feel like a million bucks.

attitude of gratitude: primary kids

We [primary kids, Jordan and I] have been practicing so hard the last couple of weeks for our primary program. We learned new songs and speaking parts. I'm real glad that it was all about the kids and I didn't have to get all nervous to talk in church. Hearing kids who have the sweetest little voices and can't quite say their "r's, l's or who have slight lisps" are the happiest moments for me. It puts the biggest smile on my face.
They did so so so good. It's hard to ask 3-12 year olds to sit still and quiet for a whole Sacrament meeting. It was quite interesting for us but I'm sure their parents were loving the peace and quiet.
They all did so fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better program. The prayer given by a sweet girl in our class of "helps us to do amazing at our program", was definitely answered.
Funniest moment of the whole day was when we were singing "I Love to See the Temple," and the jokester of our class who always complains about being sleepy or having a tummy ache, leans down to me and says,"This is just so....its just so charming." I had to hold back my laughter. Such a tender yet really funny moment. You really never know what to expect from that kid or really any of them. We have the greatest kids ever. We love them and it makes every Sunday that much better.

I am so grateful today for Temples. Today is 5 months of wedded bliss after being sealed to my favorite guy. I have been reflecting all morning on how lucky I am/was that I was able to be sealed to him for all time and eternity. There are so many feelings of love, peace and comfort. I want everyone to feel those things that I feel every time I go. I love being able to return time and time again with those that I love to be a part of something so wonderful.

Being in a class of non-stop coughing 3rd graders for most of the day, hand sanitizer or as they call it "Magic Soap" in kindergarten (best time of my life really, I love those Kindergartners)...it is a necessity for me to survive. I cringe just thinking about all the germs shooting through the air. The worst part of it all is when they cough in their hands and then grab the book or packet we are reading in Fluency and then proceed to practically wipe their hands with it. Oh the joys of working in an Elementary School.

Jordan and I haven't ventured into the world of internet and cable at our apartment quite yet, so thank goodness my parents have dvr. I can still have independence and keep up on my favorite shows. After working so much and not being able to sit and breathe for a moment, spending time with my parents or my cute husband watching our favorite shows is the best.

I woke up this morning, said goodbye to my sweet Redbeard and couldn't go back to sleep because I was so cold. I wasn't too happy about this because I can usually catch another 25 minutes or so of shut eye before I have to get ready for work. So not only was I cold, I was tired. [don't know which one is worse]
I got to work, still cold I might add, and was rushed to get things ready for the day. I was a little stressed out and all of a sudden I get a mystery phone call. I thought maybe it was someone that was in my ward or something else, so I answered it.
The man on the other line talked to me like I was his friend "Danielle". I was so confused, so I asked him who it was and he in turn asked who I was. After discovering that he had the wrong number he simply said, "Keep on smiling and have a fantastic day!" Kind of a weird response from someone I don't know, but definitely the pick-me-up I needed.
Thank you mystery caller. I am grateful for your optimism.

6. I am so grateful that he took me on a date exactly one year ago today. How lucky am I? Who knew that this would be the last first date we would go on. After that night I had a good feeling that Jordan and I were going to be something great. Look at us now. Happy and loving every minute together.

4. I have to say, Jordan and I have THE greatest friends. Tonight, while celebrating Jordan's friend's birthday, I sat back and realized how lucky we are to have such great people in our lives. We love them so very much. Each one is so different but contributes to the greatness that all of us together really is. Thanks for being our best buddies!

5. I am grateful for my jobs. I love working in an elementary school and working with those pesky Kindergartners, 3rd, 5th and 6th graders. Man, are they sassy. I love going to work everyday and not knowing what to expect. I love the opportunity I have to teach them and to learn from them. Everyday there is something new and I think they are the greatest kids in the world.

I also love my other job, serving at Chuck-a-Rama a couple nights a week. I picked it up because I had so much free time in the afternoons since Jordan is always working, going to school or interning. I love being able to constantly interact with other people, and making a few extra bucks isn't too bad. It keeps me busy and my social life has taken a big hit, but I love every moment I get to help/talk to people.

They are all such hard workers.
Currently, my dad is chatting away with China, my mom is holding down the fort in a Murray City meeting and my sister is up in Logan being the best Aggie she can be. What a sweet family I have. They love me so much and I in return. There is always something we are laughing/talking about. My dad stretches my ways of thinking, my mom makes me wise and my sweet sweet sister answers all my questions about cooking. I would be lost with out them.

Before I begin on the real post, I must clear the air with my last....
The lady who made the tile for us, I guess, has a booth at the Quilted Bears in both Orem and Midvale. Since Jordan and I are {obviously} so good looking, she used our picture on her examples. I'm just glad she used a different picture and our real names on the one she gave us. That might have been a little awkward.

Now on to the real post.

I have noticed on the good old FB people doing this Month of Gratefulness thing. It sparked my interest and instead of posting something every day on FB, I decided to do it on here, so that if I need a little extra space then I have it. I didn't start yesterday so I guess this one will be a double dose of gratitude.

1. I am grateful for...

this guy...beard and all.

He is the greatest. He is my perfect match. He thinks I'm funny. He is patient with me while I am learning this whole "How to be Domestic" thing. He is my supporter. He is my best friend. I am so lucky to have him in my life, to walk by my side every step of the way and to grow with. Man, I love you red beard.

2. While at work today I realized that I am so grateful for my education. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to spend 4 years, in a wonderful place, learning and growing. I took it for granted and now that I am out and in the "real world", I realize that I loved learning EVERY single day. I try to keep teaching myself things by doing different activities, reading books and talking to people, but there is just something so different about being in College. It was seriously the greatest time. I miss it, but when Jordan has a test to study for, I definitely don't miss the stress.

Introducing Mr&Mrs. Williamson

Little did I know that when i got married I wouldn't just change my last name, but that I would get a whole new identity! Even crazier, Jordan got a whole new identity too.

Jordan and I became local celebrities a couple weeks ago when more than one of our friends spotted our photo at not only the Orem Quilted Bear, but also the one in Midvale.

A friend of Jordan's family made us a tile just like this for a wedding gift. We absolutely love it. We keep it in our living room on the table. One day at work Jordan had a co-worker come up to him and tell him that he saw our picture at Quilted Bear but it had different names and dates on it. That same day or a day after (can't really remember) I had a friend facebook me and tell me that even though she didn't come to my reception she thought our picture was stunning and was so glad she could see it at Quilted Bear. She went on to say that she had to look at it twice to make sure it was me because the names were different. It was too weird for two different people to tell us this, especially when one lived in Orem and the other one in Salt Lake. We had to go look for ourselves.

I thought it was kind of weird walking around looking for a picture of myself. There was no way I was going to ask someone if they've seen a tile with my face on it. After searching the never ending isles chuck full of stuff, we found them.

Its real weird to see your face on something with a different name. I am still laughing about it. Even looking at this picture I laugh because it is so funny.

Is it because A. I don't have internet at my apartment? B. I have a dwindling desire to blog? C. My parents purchased a hottub and we spend all our time soaking? or D. I am living in my own little newlywed world of lovin' my cute red bearded husband?

I think its a little bit of everything.

Man, what a crazy whirlwind life is right now.

A lot has happened to keep us pretty busy.

I had a birthday. Here is to 23! Wahoo.

It was pretty great. I love my family and friends. I'm one lucky girl.

Went to the REAL game with some pretty great people.

Said goodbye to Keat-Skeat at the end of September. He will be a great missionary in Russia. Love that kid so so much. We lovehim and are excited for him to get out there eventually. May he survive the MTC.
We attended one of Jordan's best buddies Conrad was sealed to his love Libnie and we were fortunate enough to be there. What a beautiful ceremony it was and it was so good to be there with the man I love. Oh boy, was the reception a party. A mariachi band, dancing, good food and great friends is a recipe for a good time. Jordan gave the best man speech and did an excellent job. I am one very proud wife.

Although I haven't blogged, I have still been doing some fun things. I promise. Although life does just seem all about working and going to school, there are so many fun things we are doing.

We love life and each other.

Good thing today was National Read A Book day! I started reading before I even knew this fun fact of the day. I guess it was meant to be.
I have been struggling to get into Catching Fire (second book of Hunger Games series for all those who didn't jump on the bandwagon). I don't know why this is, but Jordan has been telling me ever since I finished the first one, way back before we got married, how good the next two are. I was never convinced. I think its because my heart was so into the first one and I was so emotionally invested in the story, that I didn't know if I could handle any more. Poor Rue. But then I sucked it up and started reading it a little at a time. This morning I woke up, it was pretty cloudy, so I decided it felt like a "let's be lazy and read all morning" kind of day. I picked up Catching Fire off my night stand and 6+ hours later, I cannot put it down. I have been sucked back into the emotional story the love triangle of Katniss, Peeta and Gale. The plot to rebel against the Capitol, the symbolism of the Mockingjay and the mystery surrounding District 13 has got me going.

What is a girl to do? I must know the answers, so I must go on.

We Miss the AC

I know everyone at one point or another have gone through this. I have been told by many that it is a right of passage as a newly married couple. I will take it for what its worth. It has been so hot lately that we are always thinking of things to do outside (since its cooler outside than inside).

Good thing we had soccer games to go to, awesome bikes to ride, new neighborhoods to explore and fun friends to visit.

I love spending time with Jordan.
Too bad he is awesome and is in school.
I swear this kid is SO busy!
Work.School.Internship = less Kacey time.
I admit sometimes I get a little jealous, but I love the moments I have with him.
He is so great.

Cabins are Better than Tents

Weekend getaways are sometimes greatly needed.

I was really excited to go but real sad to leave my boy behind. REAL had a game and he couldn't go.
The day we were supposed to leave, Jordan was so sad when I dropped lunch off to him. After I left me sent me a text saying how much he was going to miss me. I told him that he should see if there was ANY way possible that he could come. Poor boy was in a meeting trying to get a hold of his supervisor. My parents were planning on leaving around 2:30. Jordan finally got word that he could go..at 2:30. I was so nervous/anxious all afternoon waiting for any good news updates from Jordan. I was so excited that he was able to come. It made the trip wonderful to have him there spending time in the beautiful outdoors.
A big thanks goes out to my Grandparents for letting us spending a fun filled weekend at their cabin.

We fished, 4-wheeled, and enjoyed each others company. After a whole day of exploring the mountains on the 4-wheelers, we got back to the cabin. The funniest moment of the whole trip was when my mom took off her sunglasses. She was covered in so much dirt. It looked like she had a great tan...but really it was just a lot of dirt. I love this picture and just crack up every time I see it. She is so pretty.

I got dirty too, but definitely not as much as she did. It was incredible.

This Guy LOVES Soccer...

The title is quite the understatement. My cute husband is OBSESSED with the sport. He eats, lives and breathes it. Good thing he is able to be consumed with it almost every Saturday, seeing as though he is a loyal intern for REAL Salt Lake. Whenever there is a home game I lose my husband to Rio Tinto Stadium.
For the 24th of July I was able to go with cute Josh and Andree (Jordan's brother and sister-in-law) to a game. Luckily, we snatched up the free tickets Jordan got. They were the most perfect seats. Front row and on the North side. How lucky were we that all 4 goals they scored were at the goal right in front of us!
We had such a fun time and it is always so good to see my man in action. If you are ever in attendance at a REAL game he is the cute one holding the KFC Chucking for Chicken sign at half time.
I am thoroughly convinced that REAL has the best firework show hands down. Sitting on the field with the boy I love and other people I love was perfect.

For the real 24th we went to the Bee's game with my family. It's our summertime tradition to buy the family pass and go to as many games as we can. It is a whole lot of fun with all of the kettle corn we can eat. Unfortunately I don't have a picture but there are still more games to go...I'm sure I will get one on here sooner or later.

Our New Rides

Ever since Jordan's surgery on his knee our workouts have been on a break. Now that he is healing his doctor ordered him to start hiking and riding a bike to strengthen his knee and his quad muscle.

So what did we do you ask?

We bought ourselves these beauties...

We love them and ride them all over the place. It is a good way to get out, exercise a little, and spend time together.

I bought a basket to go on the front of my bike. Its perfect and we love riding to the park. I love that we live centrally so we can pretty much get anywhere on our bikes. So if you are driving around good old Murray and you see me and my sweet boy riding around, don't be afraid to honk, wave and smile at us!

Honeymooners

Walt Disney World.

Seriously the happiest place on earth, if you aren't a tired, hot and hungry little kid.

Jordan and I had the best honeymoon. We had so many wonderful people helping us to make this possible.

Florida is beautiful, but holy smokes, it was hot and humid! I swear we started sweating as we got off the plane and didn't stop until we got back on it a week later. It was so fun spending a week with my lover boy and doing all the fun kid stuff and just having fun.

A BIG GIANT thanks goes to my pal TJ, who hooked us up and got us 3 days in the parks. We had a blast. There was a surprise around every corner. We got lucky because lines were short and we got to ride everything we wanted to at least once and maybe even 2 or 3 times.

We were able to explore The Magical Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

What an amazing adventure we had.

I loved that it would rain really hard every afternoon for half an hour and cool it down. I wasn't even mad that it rained because it was so hot.

We walked into the Pirates of the Caribbean with blue skies and we walked out in a downpour. It was fantastic.

Walking around Epcot was romantic. We visited different countries and had a taste of their culture. We had reservations in France for dinner set up by my friend TJ. He seriously did so much for us. He is wonderful.

Yeah. It was delicious.

Epcot is so great. I wish we would have had more time there to really spend time in each country.

The Animal Kingdom was probably my most favorite place. They have a great safari that you got to go on. I could have spent all day on that Jeep. They also had an awesome roller coaster that Jordan absolutely loved. He was like a little kid with big eyes and a constant smile. Oh how I love him so much.

We had so much fun, but it was sure nice to come back to reality and start our cute little life together. There will be more updates on that later. I have committed myself to be a better blogger. August will be good to me...hopefully. Maybe if I keep blogging I will get lucky and get a job.

Closer to Love 6.11.2011

This is what you have all been waiting for I'm sure. Having your sister-in-law and her sister as your wonderful photographers is great because you get your photos back so quickly! I looked through all of them today and loved every single one of them. I will put a few up here and maybe (most likely) will put them up on the good old FB.
June 11 was the most perfect day. It was beautiful outside, not too hot and not too cold. My fears of rainy weather was calmed by the beautiful blue skies and the knowledge that I was about to be sealed for all time and eternity to my best friend. How I loved being in the Temple with all of the people I love. Thank you everyone for being there.

Perspective

Amidst the craziness that we call planning a wedding, keeping my mind focused on whats really important was the best thing I could have done. I will admit that there were more than one occasion where, as previously posted, I let things become more important and have more weight on my mind. But last night everything was put into place on my importance scale. Although the dress, flowers, pictures and ice cream are all important parts in making {TOMORROW!!!} a great event, it wouldn't be complete without the Temple.
Last night Jordan and I {and many of our wonderful friends and family} went through the Oquirrh Mtn Temple. What an experience that was. It was awesome to wake up this morning and cross off a life goal of mine. I am grateful for all of the support and love I felt yesterday. I can't wait to go back on Saturday and be sealed to my sweet boy. I sure love him so very much.

Scatter Brained Kacey

I have always been pretty organized when it comes to tasks in life...but lately I've only been organized when there are lists. I have never been a lister...I could always just do it. But lately I have had to ask my mom to write me lists for Monday tasks so I can actually be a little productive those days. So far I have been successful.

The major task that has been on the list for a couple of weeks now is that I, Kacey, needed to find a new car. Poor Flora left me in a somewhat tragic way. Coming home from work and picking up my wedding dress, she decided that she was done and left in a bang. Well more like flames. Poor Flora caught on fire. But anyone who was reading closely, the dress did not go out with her. The dress is great. I'm great. Just sad that I had to go talk to mean pushy car salesmen.

Farewell girl. You were so good to me.

Thank goodness that my mom is so sweet and spent a couple of hours with me searching for my new ride. Luckily is was a lot less painful as my previous trip to find a car. When I got on the lot it was like love at first sight. I saw it, it saw me and here I am with this new thing. I think we {J-man and I} are going to name it Riptide.

So after that task was completed and I had some time on my hands, I was reading a friends blog about her successfulness in wedding tasks. As I was reading I read something about her getting her wedding license. I freaked out for a minute because that thought hadn't even crossed my mind. Leave it to Kacey to show up on June 11th without a marriage license. So funny. But don't worry, Jordan and I the next day went right down and got it. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to some of you who I have told about the morning I woke up and freaked out because I didn't even think that I had to still buy my guy a ring. Tiny details. This is where my scatter brain comes into play. I guess the day isn't all about me and the boy needs some attention too.

I can't wait one more second to marry him. Our new adventure together is going to be the greatest.

Its true. I love her.
She is my favorite lady in the world.
I am so very very lucky to have her in my life. She may think I'm absolutely insane sometimes but she is very good at bringing me back down to earth. When I get stressed out, she is very good and talking me through it and making me realize that I can afford to grow up and move on with life.
Planning a wedding has been a fun event for the two of us. We bounce ideas off of each other and she has the best ideas ever.

REAL Fun

Growing up, my family has been a baseball family.

Soccer happened for only a moment in my earlier years, when my dad told me to stop skipping down the field, my soccer career was over. I had just learned how and practice makes perfect right? {I should have practiced more...maybe I wouldn't have a scar in the middle of my forehead.}

Jordan coming into my life has ~~forced~~ allowed me to learn and appreciate the sport a little more. Watching highlights and learning what offsides is consistently is what our nights consist of.

Last week we were able to attend the REAL vs Colorado Rapids game. It was rainy, windy, cold and scoreless until the 3rd minute of stoppage time. I was really wanting it to be an exciting game, for my parents sake, and it ended up being so great.

All bundled up but still lovin' every minute.

My mom didn't want to turn around due to the matted down hair and rained on face.
I don't know what she was worried about, she is always gorgeous. My dad
had a great time.

Soccer is growing on me, but how excited am I that the Bee's season is up and going. We get to teach Jordan all about the love of baseball.

A Walk In The Park

Well, more like a picnic.
Who doesn't love nice spring day picnics?
We sure love them.
Chan, Keat, Jord and I all decided it would be so fun to go to Murray Park in between Conference sessions to enjoy the spring-like weather and eat lunch.
We were all enjoying ourselves as you can see:

After we ate we threw the football around and thought it would be fun to practice taking engagements. I like taking pictures but I get really nervous when they are for reals. Practicing was a must.

These are SO good right? No need to get them professionally done! Just kidding. We actually got our engagements done last weekend by the ever so lovely Andree and Rachel of Metree Photography . They are amazing. I can't wait to show you them, but patience is a virtue and if I have to wait to see them, you guys surely have to wait. But I promise they will be up shortly.
Chandler and Keaton didn't want to get left out so they had their very own photo shoot. Can I just say that I absolutely love these two kids? They are probably my most favorite people in the whole world. Keat just put in his mission papers and we couldn't be more proud of him. Canada anyone?

They are just so wonderful.
Do you guys ever struggle with ending posts? I do sometimes. I never know what to say. So maybe I will end this by saying. I love Jordan. I love my sister. I love Keaton.

This is no April Fool's Joke

Jordan and I found an apartment!
That's right people.
We found the place that we are going to live!!!!!
We had been looking for a couple of weeks and my parents suggested that we go look at this certain place that they once lived in as a newly married couple. They weren't sure if it would still be as nice as they once were, but they were confident that we could be able to get out moneys worth. Oh boy, were they right! We went and looked and are still in great quality. I'm sure they look a little different and have been updated since 1986 but we were so happy that we found something we both really liked and felt like we had enough space. As you all know that I don't like to buy anything full price, we ended up coming in at the right time while they were having a monthly deal. Couldn't be any happier.

**I have to say that being the one on a housing tour is odd after 4 years of taking people on tours at USU. It was fun to be on the other side and see how small talk occurs. I laughed the whole time just thinking how awkward and uncomfortable it could be at times but how I just ate up all that awkwardness and always had a great time.

I've Never Been a Big Fan of Hospitals...

I must really love this boy.
About 3 weeks ago Jordan had surgery on his PCL and Medial Meniscus. I left work early to take him to the hospital to check in at 1:45pm. His surgery was scheduled for 2:15. When we got to the back room and Jordan got all hooked up they informed us that there was already an hour delay.
I thought that I would be ok with just an hour...but once 3:30 came and left I suggested that Jordan call the nurse to see what was up. He was on edge anyways because he was a little tiny bit [as he says and will admit, but we all know he was a little more then he left off] nervous, this time delay was no fun. The nurse came in and asked how we were doing and we told her that we would really like this process to begin. She checked with surgery and said that there was a longer delay than expected. No fun at all. Around 5:45 the surgical nurse came in and prepped him some more and finally the surgeon came in.
Then I had to wait. Longest 2 hours of my life thus far. I left for a little while to find the plug to the ice machine. {Duh Kacey...not a smart move to not check to see if the power source of Jordan's saving grace for the next week before surgery is done.} Luckily I found it quickly and brought it back with me so it would be ready for him once the surgery was done.
This whole experience was worth it when I got to go back and see him while he was still drugged up. Funny funny times. Needless to say the surgeon said that everything went so well and they couldn't have asked for a better scenario. I was so relieved and had no idea how much fun it was going to be the next week or two to take care of him. Ha what fun that was.
He still can't drive himself anywhere, so I pick him up from work everyday, drive him to Physical Therapy once a week and do anything else I can to make him comfortable and happy? Good sign that I will be a good wife??

I take him to Physical Therapy every week and make sure he does his exercises at home so that he can be healed and can walk on June 11th. That's all I want. Is it too much to ask? June 11th is our goal. Think he can make it?

He came out of surgery around 8. He is giving thumbs up means he was doing ok. He had to stay the night because he was still very drugged and his oxygen levels weren't stable.

For the record. I still don't enjoy hospitals.

Better Late than Never

I don't know why this has been so hard to write. I sit down with the intentions of jotting down a few notes or the "story" about how I will go from Kacey D to Kacey C. I just realized that its sort of a tongue twister, but I kinda like it...scratch that...I LOVE it.

So this is how it started. We journeyed to Utah's great Dixie to spend time with my grandparents. I went to have a good time. Jordan on the other hand had other plans in mind.

I optimistically hoped that it would be sunshine all weekend, but we were covered in clouds and rained on, but that didn't stop my cute boy from getting down on one knee.
We went and looked around Tuachan because it was something to do. Little did I know that my sweet Grandmother, smart sister and adorable boyfriend were all in on it.
Chandler suggested that I go up on stage and pretend to be Ariel, since the next show they are doing is Little Mermaid, I was a little hesitant but I did it anyways. So below this is the result..my best Ariel.

We climbed to the top. It was cold and windy and Jordan kept trying to kiss me. I told him to stop because my grandparents were watching but that didn't stop him. After a little while I decided that I was cold and started searching for a way down. I thought the fact that Jordan was shaky was because he was cold too, but boy was I wrong!

I have recently acquired a 3-day weekend every week. Please be jealous. There is always something exciting going on. I usually start off my day with going to the gym. If I feel like waking up early or I can't sleep any longer I will go ride the bike and read my book for awhile, or I will just get there in time for my new favorite thing in the whole entire world...
Water Aerobics.

Yes I may be the only one participating under the age of 65, and I think, from what I picked out of conversations, I may be the only one who hasn't had either a hip or a knee replaced. I walked in last Monday and I saw all of these smiling faces welcoming me into the pool area. They were all busy gabbing about their weekend events, I'm pretty sure I may have been the only one listening to the instructor. I met Judy, Carol, Sally, Betty and Tom. They are all gems. I'm glad I made a few friends. I look forward to going every week to see them and get a great work out. I did water aerobics before with my friend Alli in college. It was a fun time. I wish she was here to do it again with me.
After this I make lunch and I go eat lunch with the boy at his work. I am getting pretty good at packing delicious lunches. Good and healthy.
Mondays have become "lets pretend I'm crafty and creative" days. While my friend Addie was on maternity leave we usually did something fun. I loved the time I have had to spend with her and her darling babe Aftynn. We recreated tissue paper balls to hang in the babe's room. They turned out really well. Our one suggestion: cut the edges of the paper, it turns out a lot cuter.

Now that she is back at work I get to hang out with cute baby Link and his amazing mommy Marie. Marie and her husband Tyler are some of Jordan's best friends. I am so lucky to now call them my friends. They are the greatest. It is nice to have a friend like Marie who wants to craft with me and who I am able to relate to and connect with easily! I love spending time with her and Link. I mean when you see this face, how could you not fall in love?

My Most Favorite Saturday

I never really do anything exciting on Saturdays. I usually spend the morning lounging around, maybe [and I mean maybe] clean my room, and then Jordan and I do something fun at night.

But this Saturday was different.

We started off the morning by going to Kneaders for breakfast. We have friends who have gone and told us about how delicious their Cinnamon Chunk French Toast is, which I might add is unlimited. Every time someone would tell us about it, they were practically drooling and so we decided that we should go and try it out. {I should probably mention that we have been there 2 Saturdays now. yep. We are awesome.}

This is Jordan getting totally owned by the french toast.

It was sooooo delicious, but I couldn't even eat the two they gave me. Jordan wouldn't leave the place without getting even one refill of the toast, he needed to get his moneys worth. That's my refill in the to-go box on the table. Even though it was so good, it caused a little nausea, but I got over it because there was so much more fun to be had.

Next up: The Aquarium.

Jordan's friend Drew works here so he kindly got us a couple of free passes. We had been meaning to go for awhile now, but we decided that this would be a perfect time to go. I think the aquarium has been around for a long time, but me being in Logan for the last 4 years didn't help.

I loved being the only couple there without children. I can't wait until I can take my kids to places like this. It was fun to see all of their expressions when they saw all the different creatures. I guess I got a sneak peak when I would look at Jordan. I love that he was just as excited as they were. So cute.

I didn't know he was magic. When he touched it, it started to glow.

The Lion Fish. It can kill you with the very sharp tips of those fins.

The Stingrays. I am sometimes really sensitive to textures. I have never been able or willing to touch something that lives underwater. {I would swim with the dolphins though if I ever had a chance...or touch a turtle. That would be cool.} But I don't like the idea of a stingray. Everyone remember Steve Irwin? When I asked Jordan what they felt like his response, "really slimy." Didn't help the cause. I was reminded over and over again that all the kids are doing it and that I shouldn't be afraid. I did put my hand in the water a couple of times but no success. I mentally couldn't do it. I failed a little.

Just for the record.. I did touch a stingray. Yes, it has been stuffed, but its all about baby steps.

We finished the aquarium around 12:30, so we decided to continue on with the festivities by going to see a movie. Jordan got to pick because I have been the one to pick the last couple of times. We got to Jordan Commons looked what was playing, saw that The Fighter was playing, and went up to the counter to purchase our tickets. We ended up with this funny lady who said in the most sincere apologetic voice, "I know you are probably over 17, but I just want to make sure. I have kids who look like your age so I just never know." Every time someone thinks that I am younger than I really am, I never know how to take it. I guess I will be happy people think I am younger.

I got carded for my very first time at the movies. I thought it was so funny.

I loved spending the whole day with Jordan. What a great guy he is.

They've Been Missing Out

Jordan & Keaton. Two really great guys. One belongs to Sister and the other one belongs to me. If you know either Chandler and I, you know that we think IKEA is the greatest thing to ever happen. We love it. Spending an afternoon there is something that we would consider a great, successful day. Walking through dreaming/creating our own spaces with all of the cute nick-knacks, bright colors and prints is what us Daniels girls do.

Can you believe these boys have never been to IKEA before?? How did that happen??
Both Chandler and I were surprised to find this out. So what did we do?

You guessed it.

Trip to IKEA. And yes we took a picture. Although it wasn't for very long, due to a certain someone having an "important" boys night to attend, there will be more trips in the future. You can count on it.

Although it doesn't look it, Keaton is really excited to be there.

I thought that Jordan never being in IKEA was a shocker, when I found out that he had never been to my second favorite store Hobby Lobby, my universe was about shattered. So I decided that since I learned a new craft of fabric flowers (more to come) I should go and take Jordan to Hobby Lobby to help me pick out fabric. He is a fun shopping buddy. I really think he liked this store even more.

I don't really know yet.
I have had a lot of time to think on my drives to and from Orem every Tuesday through Friday. I have become an old person. I listen to KSL 1160 am (catch up on my news, sports...don't forget weather and traffic on the 9's). I feel like I have a better idea of whats going on in the world, but let's face it...I don't really know what to do with that information so I usually get sick of the "noise" that the radio has become and just turn it off.
Today while driving I discovered that I am...

A. An outfit repeater! {gasp}
I know right. Oh my goodness. I know there are many of you out there who fall under the same category. Part of me feels embarrassed, but really who cares. I have cute clothes. I think they are comfortable. When I find that one token piece in my wardrobe, I run with it. I wear it whenever I want.
I told Jordan today about my dilemma. He said "it's ok, I don't really know what you wear. All I know is that you look good." Thanks Jord, thanks for trying.

B. People seriously struggle at driving sometimes.
And it drives me crazy.
I catch myself every once in awhile questioning others abilities. There is an invisible gate you pass at the Point of the Mountain where people's driving IQ's are significantly lower. (Sorry if you are from Utah County, but there must be a different Driver's Handbook down there.) It wouldn't hurt to use a blinker now and then. Oh and speed up if you cut me off.

SUMMER!!!!!! I LOVE summer and going on trips and I love the beach.

I love going to sporting events. Whether it be baseball games, basketball games, and now soccer games, I am there. I love the atmosphere.

I love everything this picture represents. Love, 4th of July, my sister, and Sparklers. One summer I bought lots of sparklers and just lit them while sitting in a driveway with my best buddy Spencer. Great memories.

I have hands down the greatest parents in the whole entire world. They inspire me everyday to look for the best in things and to never give up. They get me thinking about the future and how to start preparing for it now. I love them so much. I especially love watching the interaction between the two. After being gone for 4 years up at school I haven't had much time with them. But now that I am the {only child} again, I get to spend quality time with them. They are such a dynamic duo. They complete each other. They are each other's better half. They inspire me to one day have a relationship of my own like that. My mom and dad are so good at working together, making each other laugh and communicating with each other. What great examples they set for me.

I have this great friend Kelly Jean Brown White. I love her name almost as much as I love her. She and her sweet husband are probably the most creative people I have ever met. THE JAZZ

I love my friends Kathryn and Trenton. They are probably the funniest people I have ever met. One day while Kathryn and I were talking she came up with the greatest idea to double at a Jazz game. Jordan and I being dedicated Jazz fans quickly agreed and decided that going to a Jazz game is a lot more fun than watching it on TV.

Our adventure started at the Trax station were a {very drunk} man named Tony tried to hop the fence, got stuck and ended up falling on his back into the snow. Very funny. He was trying to get to a car full of people yelling for him and he thought that it would be simple to jump over the fence. He got one leg over successfully but couldn't quite get the other one over. Another guy tried to help him, but alas it wasn't successful. He was really lucky that he didn't hit his head on the track. Once he realized that his attempt wasn't successful he walked around to the crosswalk...which you should know was only like 15 feet away...and started walking to the car. Best part was the giant tear in his pants from the fence and the laughter of the onlookers watching this all unfold. It made the freezing temperatures bearable for a brief moment. So THANK YOU Tony. You are my new favorite person.

When we got the ~~Delta~~ Energy Solutions arena we were cold, looking for Kathryn and Trenton and ready to watch the Jazz beat the Hornets. If anyone asks, we had the best seats in the house. Thank you $5 dollar seats. We were at the very top...no one behind us. It was a great view until the girl in front of us would jump up every time the Jazz did something good. I'm glad she was so excited to be there. She may or may not have seen me tell her to sit down (for the record she turned around at just the right time and i feel real bad).

It only took 3 quarters to get a gem like this one here.

It turned out to be soooooo much fun and I tell Kathryn every time I talk to her that she needs to move back to Utah so we can do this more often. So Kathryn if you are reading...I'm dead serious. Please move back.

I spent it with these cute people and couldn't have asked for anything different.

There is nothing better than knowing that if there was a {cough} terrible blizzard, there would be people there to make it through the storm with. I am lucky to have such amazing people in my life. Playing boys vs. girls catch phrase with warm fire in the background is a recipe for a good time. I haven't laughed this hard in a really long time. I am secretly grateful for mother nature for allowing us this time to spend with family. There was no cursing her, if any one asks...only love.

Life has been really good to me.

There have been other things occupying my time and the blog kind of just hit the back burner. But I am back. I won't ever forget my blog again. Promise.

ONCE I TURNED 22

So last Saturday I, Kacey Daniels, became an official adult. I turned 22. It's kind of weird to me because 21 sounds like you are still somewhat of a kid and you can still screw around, whereas 22 is like you better get your act together...you are an adult! Woah. So weird. I had a great day thanks to some amazing friends. Boy, do I love them or what?!

As an official adult I did very adult things...like shoot monster guns...It was so fun. I'm a natural.

I started off this brand new year of life with a bang. Literally.

This is Windsor Elementary. Tomorrow I will go to my first day of work here. Am I excited? After a summer of nonstop searching for a real life job...I couldn't be happier. I will be working with the Special Needs classroom. This is such a great opportunity and a step in the right direction!

There you have it. The craft bug bit me and this is what happened. Channy is moving TOMORROW and she wanted something fun to spruce up the old room in Bullen Hall. I think that this will be a perfect addition to the white walls which will surround her for the next 8 months. On to the next craft... thought that I may redo my room here at home since I will be occupying it for a little while. CRAFT NIGHT?? Please?? You know who I am talking to!!!!

If you have never been there, you should definitely go. They have books that are new releases all the way back to books written by the Prophets of Old (really though, they sell the Book of Mormon and Bibles). I could have spent hours upon hours in that store. I feel like I might make another trip down this week. I'm addicted. This summer has brought about a lot of good reads. I remember how I would always have a book in hand growing up but as college hit, I feel like it was replaced by textbooks. So given my new found freedom, books have once again found my hand. It is a good feeling.

So any of you out there have any good book suggestions...I'm ALL ears. I would love to hear about what you all are reading. The expansion of my book collection is in motion.

I still can't get over the fact that my cute little sister isn't so little anymore and that she is moving on. She has completed her business in Murray and is taking a giant leap up to her new life as a College Freshman. Where has the time gone? I swear that I was just shedding tears saying goodbye to friends and driving to Logan with Mrs. Katie Kimber. Oh my heavens. I am really so excited for her. Logan doesn't know whats in store when this beauty shows it whats up.

CAUSEY CLIFF JUMPING

So being as adventurous as I am being this summer, Karen (my old roomie) and I went with her brother Matt and some of his friends from Ogden decided to make a trip up to Causey Dam. It was so fun. We hiked, and walked down to these giant cliffs that we ended up jumping off. Sometimes I think that I am a whimp and don't do heights...but this time it was fun. Here are some pictures.

After jumping into the FREEZING water the girls hung out in the raft that Matt bought before the trip and floated around. We met some really funny boys who were wanting us to take them back to their side of the lake. Such cuties. I even told one that he was my husband. I think it worked...haha But really, it was so fun to just be spontaneous and try something that I wouldn't usually go and do. Here is to being a free bird.

Well I finally got my pictures...all 4,000 of them. (Don't worry I didn't take them all, it was a collection of EVERYONE'S pictures.) So after going spending a couple of hours going through all of them I decided that I would post a few of them on here, you can see more of Facebook. Here are a few pictures of my many adventures.
We hiked one day all the way up the Andes Mountains to some beautiful waterfalls...

Went took a tiny tram 14,000 feet up to the top of the mountain where we rode horses, like true cowpeople.

I don't do heights and slow moving things taking me high places..but I made it.

We stood RIGHT on the equator. I know you are jealous!

And for the real reason we went...to work with absolutely AMAZING children. One look at them and you just can't help but love them. They were so sweet and just needed to be loved. I was more than willing to love them. I loved them so much I wanted to either stay there forever or bring them all home with me. I'm sure my parents wouldn't have cared!

I love and miss Ecuador with all my heart. Time to start saving for my next trip!!

Filling Time...and Loving Every Second

So I reached the point of a mental meltdown. I wasn't really feeling too good about my situation. After 4 years of on the go school, work, and other responsibilities I have found myself with really not much to do. I felt like I wasn't contributing anything to the world and that I was just down right lazy. Waking up and going to the gym everyday just doesn't really cut it or help anyone except my waistline (but can't really complain about that). I always try to find the positive in every situation but after a couple of really rough days it all just kind of blew up. Me, not being able to hide how I am feeling, couldn't hold it back any longer. After an excellent heart to heart with my dad over delicious Mango Coconut smoothies at Barnes & Noble, I was able to realize that I need to just relax. He told me about an experience that one of his friends had while attempting to get his houseboat out of the dock. He told me that it was his first time ever and that he was really nervous. If he went too fast he would crash into other boats, and if he went too slow there wouldn't be any success. Well, unfortunately the moment that this man started to get nervous about the situation he went too fast and ended up knocking into 3 other boats. A man on the dock rushed onto the boat and took over the wheel. This man looked at my dad's friend and simply said, "The key to driving this boat is to just relax." This story made me realize that I can't stress out about things that may or may not be happening in my life at this specific time. I can do all I can to help my life move along, but as we all know, its not really up to us. I had a giant wake up call and the person on the other end was telling me to just enjoy what is happening now and to love every minute. Sure I may not have a job, but it has given me time to reconnect with old friends, volunteer at the food bank, dog sit for neighbors and to help out with babysitting my cute cousins. There is a lot to look forward to in the future and so much time to accomplish all that I want, so I'm ok with where I am at right now. I have a pretty great life.

When Life Becomes a Zoo...

Sit back, relax and enjoy it. I am so glad Channy and Keat had the idea to go to the zoo. I haven't been in years. I forgot how fun it was just to walk around and look at all the cuties. The animals were fantastic. One thing I definitely didn't miss was the awful smell. Every time I mentioned the horrible smell, my dad would kindly remind me that we were at the zoo. Thanks Dad! -but we don't believe that. We Love Sparklers. The 4th of July is not the same without sparklers. Good thing my Avery loves sparklers and got us all excited. After trying to deal with the West Jordan wind and only having matches and a candle, we were very successful. Man I love the 4th.

Holy 4th..what a party

4th of July is always such a fun time of the year. Its full of family, friends, fireworks, and food. Oh the 4 F's. That fits just perfectly.
This year was a little different than those of the past. After...154793739 years of attending the Murray City Fun Days Parade we switched it up and went to the good old West Jordan Parade. (Just going to say that its definitely not the same.) I DID love seeing cute little Avery (my cousin) cheering with her cheer group. It was fun to see her being thrown in the air. She is a doll. On a high note we found Waldo. Whoever said it was hard to find him was a liar. He came right to us. Love that man.

One thing that was a normal celebratory event was meeting up with the Hylands to watch fireworks explode right over us at Murray Park. Since everyone else had their specified cuddle buddy I got lucky and got to cuddle with this cute boy:

He may or may not have had one too many bites of Cotton Candy so our cuddle sesh only lasted a few fireworks.
The next day for the actual 4th I was able to attend my friend Kathryn's baby blessing. Her sweet baby Jackson was so good during the blessing. Not a peep. We took a picture together so we will just have to wait until her mom sends it to me. I am so grateful for Kathryn and her friendship. I am sad she lives so far away. But I am grateful for all the times we get to talk and to see each other.
After that I spent some time at my great grandmas house before heading out to the Bee's game. Man it was SO packed. We were planning on sitting on the lawn, but ended up in better seats on the 3rd base side. My uncle Michael, aunt Brooke, Huntman and Avey Baby went with us. I love them all so much. It was fun to have them there with us. Here are a few pictures of the whole gang.

So glad Keat could join us. We had a lot of fun and the fireworks were literally right over our heads. Couldn't have a better seat in the house.

Surviving the Lake of Bears

So I am trying to be more spontaneous with adventures in my life. Summer poses many opportunities to spread my wings of spontaneity. My friend Whoolie is from Cali and she is currently living and working in Logan, and I miss her terribly. Trent and I decided that it would be fun to get out of SL and kidnap Whoolie Who and spend a couple of days up at Bear Lake. We decided that it would be fun to sleep under the stars and just escape. We got to Bear Lake and went straight to the beach. We were there for like 2 hours and Trent, being the nice person he is, walked all the way back to the car to get the cooler because we were all hungry. So while he was being so nice, a giant black cloud was coming closer and closer. We felt bad that we made him go all the way to the car and back so we thought that we would wait until he suggested we leave. (Is that so rude? Thinking back I think it was. Trent we really appreciated all you did for us.) A giant rain storm decided to join us on the trip, but nothing was going to stop Trent from putting up the tent. I tried to help but he told me just to go sit in the car. I was probably more help in the car than outside. Whoolie thought she would take the credit, but really Trent did everything. He even made us a fire. We wouldn't have survived without him. Here are some pictures from our trip:

I LOVE my dad A-LOT. Here are a few reasons why:

1. He likes to relax and have a good time.

2. He is a really hard worker...even on Pirates of the Caribbean.

3. He loves spending time with me and Channy and is REAL cool. Just look at him.

4. He is very smart and loves to continually learn about History and other things going on in the world.

5. He makes me laugh EVERY day!! Case and point...

My dad has worn many hats in my life (not just these crazy ones above). He has been the role of provider, supporter, jokester, counselor, coach and best friend! Happy Fathers Day Dad!

California girls..We're Unforgettable

Dear Katy Perry,
Thank you for your wonderful song. I'm really feeling it today.

We headed down to Hermosa Beach for a couple days of relaxation, sitting on the beach, getting a great tan and riding some beach cruisers all along the beach.

*oh snap. Just felt an earthquake. That was weird.*

Anyways. It has been fabulous. I am looking forward to the rest of this week which is full of excitement. Can I get a YAHOO for Disneyland? Oh yeah. So excited to visit the happiest place on earth! And then on Friday I will be swinging with the big boys at Dodgers Stadium cheering on the Angels. Gotta love a baseball game. This week is heavenly.

Welcome Back to Reality

So I find myself with lots of extra time on my hands. Not really sure what I should be doing or where I should be. I have been home for about 3 weeks now running through ideas on what will keep me busy. I guess I should be looking for real life jobs, but who really wants to do that!?

To keep me somewhat occupied I have been helping my friend Trent create a Tee Shirt business..It's great because I have a bunch of AWESOME new T-shirts (which are all original design) and all I have to do is maintain the Fbook page. It's great. Here are a few pictures of his great creations:

As you can see he has made a variety of Men's and Women's shirts. New ideas are being generated everyday and suggestions are always welcome. He makes the first one for you free and the second one is $15. So its like two for $15. Its a great deal!

Wow friends. It has been a couple days since I last posted. Life here in Ecuador is non-stop.
Here are some things we have done:

Hiked the Andes Mountains to beautiful waterfalls, jumped in, froze a little..and didnt die.
Worked in Orphanages for children with special needs and fell in love with their beautiful spirits.
Took a trip to various orphanages around the city of Cuenca and other surrounding cities, playing with and loving all of the kids there.
Went swimming in hot springs with the special needs kids.
Shopped until my little hearts content at fabulous markets around the city.
Got honked at a lot because Ecuadorians love to yell Gringas out their car windows.
Met some really amazing people who devote their lives to making others' lives more meaningful and enjoyable.
Tried to communicate with locals but failed miserably..I should have paid more attention in Spanish class. Sorry Ms. Kasparian.
Took lots of pictures..well stole a lot since my camera decided to take its last final picture on the second day of the trip. (You will soon see how beautiful Ecuador really is)
Fell in love...with delicious coconut cookies.
Visited the continental divide...tomorrow I will be standing on the Equator. I know your jealous..its a pretty big deal.
and...Had the time of my life.

Looking back on this week, I have learned so much about myself and how I can do whatever I put my mind to. My eyes and heart have been opened to new things that I may have never thought of doing. I have felt so much love for the kids that I have been taking care of because they cant do it themselves. I will never take for granted the things that I have, the places that I live and the people that I know. We went to a local branch today for church, and even though I couldnt understand a single word of what they were saying, I was able to reflect on the beautiful things that Heavenly Father has created. Sitting there and feeling the Spirit confirmed to me that this is where I needed to be at this time.
I am so sad to be leaving, and I hope to return one day if thats where life takes me. I have been inspired to be more willing to serve others in (hopefully) other parts of the world.
Having just graduated in Speech Language Pathology I have seen the affects that my knowledge and skill can have on someone.
This really has been an amazing opportunity for me. This makes me excited for the future.
I love Ecuador.

Ecuador Day 1

Today was the first real day in Ecuador. We had another REALLY early flight from Quito (where we flew in and stayed last night) to Cuenca (the city we will be staying in for this week). The flight was only 35 minutes so it was nothing compared to yesterdays numerous flights. I wish I had pictures to show you of this beautiful city I am now in. It is pretty modern, but as you go closer to the center of the city it has the remains of the old city. There I saw old people dressed in traditional clothing, which is absolutely amazing, tiny shops here and there, dogs riding in the front seat and rows of beautiful handmade articles of clothing/bags. The markets here are beautiful. You can practically find anything delicious or beautiful in those markets. You can even find women breast feeding their young. Yeah. Saw enough to last me a lifetime. I guess thats cool here in Cuenca.
People here are very defensive when it comes to driving. Don't think for one second that pedestrians have the right away. Nope. People will just continue turning even if you are already 4 feet in the road. I was walking on the sidewalk and I almost got hit at least 3 times by side view mirrors. Not cool at all.
This afternoon we are headed to a daycare and taking activities we created to do with the children. Everyone keeps telling me that they love to play soccer, so I hope I can keep up with them.
I am so glad that I am here right now. I couldn't think of anything better I could be doing with myself at this particular moment.
There is so much to tell you all. And I am REAL sorry that I don't even have pictures to show you. Later my friends, Patience is a virtue.

Dearest Friends...

I am off to Ecuador in T minus 6 hours. Many of you will read this and I will already be on a plane somewhere or maybe even already arrived in that Magical Country. I just wanted to send a GIANT shout out to my amazing family for all of their love and support they showed me by coming up and sitting through graduation to see me. I love them so much! Thank you all for being so wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better family.

Here are some of my favorite housing peeps who we pretty much started working together the same time. I love them!

Ok so my eyes are closed but I still secretly like this picture. This is my friend Danielle. She and I work at CH together and sometimes play Jenga to relieve stress.

And here is to the head tilt that went wrong. I love Jon. He has been just the best this past year. He helps me relieve stress and lets me know that everything is going to be A-Ok. He is top notch.

Today is the Day We've All Been Waiting For..

No more countdown because today is the day of all days!

GRADUATION.

It's one of those heel-clicking happy moments..yep just like that one. To know that 4 years is behind me is both rewarding and crazy. This is huge. Once things are over today, I'm officially no longer a Logan-ite and I return to my roots..well at least for a couple of hours until I leave for ECUADOR..oh yeah remember about that little trip I'm taking!?

But anyways. I must make myself beautiful for today's events. I'm SO excited to see all of my family. They mean the world to me.

If you don't know already, Danny Glover is speaking at commencement...Instead of applauding, we are all planning on standing up and flapping our angel wings. He is truly an inspiration.

He is already encouraging me to look into the future with a big smile on my face. Thanks Danny!

ONE Big Family

Today (well yesterday, it was a very long and strenuous day) marks the eve of Grad-hood. I became very sentimental about my surroundings and it's like I fell in love with Logan all over again. I know that I was in the right place for the last 4 years. Being surrounded by so many different people opened my eyes to so many new and exciting things. Today marked the end of numerous things. RA job, my favorite job at Children's House and the end of my undergraduate career here at USU. It all really didn't hit me until my favorite little kindergartener, Sylvie, gave me a big hug and told me she would miss me before going into her classroom.

Checkouts happened all day and it was sad to see my favorite freshman go, but it was rewarding to see from where they have come. I love to see them be an intricate part of a community that learns and grows together. Even though the last 2 years of being an RA have been wonderful, I feel like this year we were able to achieve the sense of Family. I was really sad to see my family separating from each other but its good to know that strong relationships have been built so that in the future, just maybe we can all come together once again and be that family again. This may sound silly to some, but having people you can trust and rely on really makes or breaks your first year in college or in anytime of your life. My roommate Julie and I were talking about how today sort of hit us in the face. We were so wrapped up in the stress of packing everything up that we didn't realize what was actually happening. My roommates, along with our neighbors formed such a strong bond that it was really difficult to say goodbye. I know none of them ever read this but I want to openly thank them for being so wonderful. I am grateful for the laughter, the discussions and the kindness that could be found in any living room. They made my last year the greatest. I owe them all so much. I have come out of this year with 30 new friends that I know I could count on and that we could still be friends 10 years down the road. The long lasting friendships have helped me get through problems with silly boys, school and the process of losing loved ones. There is so much good out there and I have found quality friends. I wish them luck in their futures. I am excited to see how they put their talents to use. There is a lot to be said about these kids, I know that they will all be successful.

I love that we are all at different stages of life and yet we can all get together and talk like we have never been separated. I will admit I am not the biggest fan of getting shots. There is just something about sticking a needle in my arm that doesn't excite me. To make things more enjoyable I had to get 4. OUCH. Bye bye money, hello pain. Paying for pain is my favorite thing, right along with buying a cute dress or a new pair of shoes. But for Ecuador I sucked it up and got them. Yes my arms hurt, but in 10 days I will be in a magical place.

oh..and I got 2 stickers for being extra brave.
